This website was created in 2006 to
encourage the development and use of Hybrid and electric
vehicles, after recently viewing a new Movie / Documentary
called "The 11th Hour" we can now add a sense of urgency to
the need for Car Makers and Solar Power companies to move
things along at a greater rate. After viewing our website

The Past-early 1930s
Nikola
Tesla's-1931-Electric Pierce Arrow
It was a Pierce Arrow, one
of the luxury cars of the period. The engine had been removed, leaving
the clutch, gearbox and transmission to the rear wheels undisturbed. The
gasoline engine had been replaced with a round, completely enclosed
electric motor.
Nikola Tesla:
Born July 10th, 1856, in Smiljan, Croatia, Nikola Tesla paved the way
for the creation of almost all household appliances that we use today.
A speaker of six languages, Tesla studied engineering at the University
of Prague. The inventor of the Electro-Magnetic AC motor and
transformer, 3-phase electricity, and the Tesla coil, Tesla rivaled
Thomas Edison at the turn of the 20th Century.
We had the answer in 1931:- Electric powered cars, now we
deserve to know what went wrong and why our Planet is polluted?.
Presenting the Tesla
Roadster the first one in Australia (Fully Electric)
Peter Sellen from Channel Ten News in Adelaide
This vehicle had it's first showing at
GreenFest in Brisbane's Botanical Gardens June 5/6/7 2009. Simon
Hackett from Internode
is the first person in Australia to own a Tesla Roadster.
THE world's fastest
electric sports car that can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just
four seconds is now in Australia for the first time. In a major
coup the first confirmed appearance of the eco-friendly Tesla Roadster
was at Brisbane's Greenfest event in June. The California-made
Tesla, costing about $150,000 for a basic model, can travel 350
kilometres on a single charge and has a top speed of 200 km/h. The
vehicle has become an icon for Greenfest. Organiser Colman Ridge said
the car's electrifying performance and eco credentials would force
petrol heads to take notice. He said: "The guys at Tesla have been at
the leading edge of transforming the automotive industry. "Every car
maker is now developing electric powered vehicles and they are going to
be smashing through the market in the next two to five years."
Internet entrepreneur Simon Hackett, the first Australian to own a
Tesla, agreed to loan the car to Greenfest. Mr Hackett, who
intends to use solar power to recharge the car's lithium-ion batteries,
said: "This is about showing how amazingly advanced the zero emission,
real-world car has become, with the side effect of it also being a
Ferrari-toasting vehicle in performance terms." Mr Hackett, from
Adelaide, revealed he had purchased the car knowing he may not be able
to gain registration to drive it on public roads, due to restrictions on
new left-hand drive cars. "If I can convince a state government to
change their rules then I'll realise my dream of it being my daily
driver. Otherwise, that'll have to wait for Tesla to make a right-hand
drive car in the future. "But in the meantime I will show people -
by demonstration - what the future of cars looks like.
"I just strongly believe that electric vehicles are
the future and this was the most concrete way that I could personally
contribute to educating people in Australia about just how real they
are. "Like Tesla itself - the aim is partially to permanently
dispel the golf-cart image of electric vehicles."

This info about the
Tesla Roadster: (words from
Martin Eberhard Co Founder of Tesla Motors.)
This info was written in 2006.
Some have suggested that the Tesla Roadster is
built on a Lotus chassis. This is not true.
Tesla licensed the Elise chassis technology, but
Tesla’s UK-based chassis engineering team
designed the Roadster’s chassis using that
technology. The suspension and occupant
protection systems are very similar. But here
are a few key differences:....Read More....
Editors Note:
My understanding of what Tesla Motors is doing
is to sell the above Tesla Roadster and the
money from that will help develop $50,000.00
Tesla S Model and then that money will be spent
on developing $20,000.00 cars for us all....A
very nice objective.
Ecomotion presents nope Electric Scooters &
Bikes.
Australia's First Electric Motion Concept Store
We were at GreenFest
in Brisbane's Botanical Gardens June 5/6/7 2009.
Ecomotion is Australia’s first electric motion
concept store. Ecomotion was established in
response to the growing need for clean, green
and economical transport alternatives. Rather
than specialise in one particular transport
mode, Ecomotion retails a range of electric
transport alternatives.
At Ecomotion we
understand that individual efforts can make a
considerable difference to reduce carbon
emissions. One way to make a difference is by
changing the way we commute. For some, electric
vehicles are thought of as ‘gimmicks’ or fun,
leisure machines. However, with the advances in
technology and subsequent reliability, electric
vehicles now provide a genuine transport
alternative, particularly for urban commuters.
As evidenced by alternative transport
initiatives being undertaken by all levels of
government for example, cheap or free parking
for scooters and bicycles in some Australian
cities. Australians are being encouraged to seek
options which are not only green but also cost
effective.

Australian invention to generate Household
Electricity:-
A
West Australian inventor believes he has developed a
way to generate electricity for homes using wind
power.Graeme Attey of Fremantle designed the concept
which uses a modular wind turbine that is small
enough to sit on a the roof of house. Mr Attey says
his modular wind turbine is about a metre in length
and half a metre in height, and creates power using
blades which are rotated by the wind. He says the
system can also be used in conjunction with solar
panels.
"Between solar and
wind it's very easy actually to drive a whole
house." Mr Attey believes a home could
generate extra power to then feed back to the
electricity grid. The West Australian Government is
helping Mr Attey fund his trials and says it will
consider offering householders a rebate to install
the system when it's released onto the market some
time next year. You can visit their

A very important role will be taken by DIY
Enthusiasts to bring Electric Vehicles into
popularity. I would like to present a
Brisbane enthusiast SHAUN WILLIAMS and his
ELECTRIC TOYOTA ECHO
A few weeks ago I was filming some on-board video from my Electric-Echo on the way home from work for a little project I have in mind, when I came upon the finest of Italian engineering and styling, a little red Ferrari (is there any other colour?). Well, I couldn’t help myself and just had to show him what the finest of backyard EV engineering could do to his sorry little red tail!
OK, so the idea is a little desperate and the production is very corny but it was fun to make!
All Pictures and info found here belong to their original owners

the World to the catastrophe that can be averted if only we all work together by
moving rapidly from oil based cars to Hybrids then to all Electric Vehicles. If you own any graphics or info on this website and you are unhappy with our
